Tom Walker has just dropped his new song 'Wait For You', which he wrote while the country has been in lockdown, due to Coronavirus. Speaking to Hits Radio Breakfast with Fleur East, James and Producer Matt, he revealed that he's been very productive over the past couple of months.

"I've had a lot of time to work on album two," he explained, "But not really that much to write about. Most of my songs are about my friends and my family, and Annie, and obviously I've seen quite a bit of Annie, but I've written a lot of songs about her."

He continued, "I've got like 14 new tracks in lockdown which is pretty cool. I don't know how many will make the album..."

Revealing none of the songs are about his DIY antics, which he's been documenting on Twitter, Tom went on to say that he thinks he needs to write about 10 songs for there to be good one, so his album is nowhere near finished.

"I've written one good one probably, maybe one and a half," he joked, going on to say that he thinks he might have "two or three" for the new album but he's still trying to write more.

And, although he's been very productive, Tom admitted that he finds it weird writing over Zoom and nothing compares to the moment he walks into a recording studio, with amazing plaques on the wall with artists and albums that he admires.

Tom Walker also joined Hits Radio's Jordan Lee where he revealed the heartbreaking reason behind his new song.
