We're just weeks away from Taylor Swift bringing her iconic 'Eras' tour to the UK, with dates in Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff and London. Ahead of the excitement, not only has the University of Liverpool has announced Tay Day, a special free event in the city, some older fans of Taylor have decided to recreate her iconic album covers.

The senior swifties, who have an average age of 87, decided to recreate their favourite Taylor album cover, and we think they did pretty well! Four residents of Bartlett’s Residential Care Home in Aylesbury, with ages ranging from 79 - 95, said they really enjoyed the experience.

Take a look through their fun recreations below:

Janet (79) - 'Lover'

Swiftie Janet said she enjoyed wearing sparkly love hearts on her face, when she recreated 'Lover'. She decided to keep them on for the rest of the day. Janet explained: "I've loved being pampered. It's been such a great day to watch everyone pick a photo to recreate."

Jill (86) - '1989 (Taylor Version)'

86-year-old Jill chose to recreate Taylor Swift's '1989 (Taylor Version)' album cover.

Jill was joined by her daughter Lyn, who helped her pick out an album cover to recreate. Lyn shared that her favourite Taylor Swift song is "Shake it Off", and she "enjoyed helping mum pick out an album to recreate. I'm very excited to see the final results."

Carol (80) - 'Midnights'

Carol is the care home's biggest Swiftie and loves the singer's outfits, especially her sparkly costumes she's been wearing on tour. Carol said: "I wish I could wear outfits like Taylor Swift every day."

Elizabeth (91) - 'Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)'

Elizabeth said she enjoyed the photoshoot explaining: "I'm excited to send my photo to family members in Australia to show them what I've been up to."
