Rihanna Planning To Release Two Albums For 2014
Singer to release movie concept album as well as her eight studio album later this year.
2013 was a very busy year for Rihanna, seeing her perform multiple sell-out dates across the globe for her Diamonds World Tour. The 26 year-old singer also took to our movie screens in her third on-screen role in 'This Is The End'. It was therefore unsurprising that Rihanna was unable to commit enough time to record and release her eight album that year.
Instead, she has decided to postpone the album until this year. This, combined with the news that Rihanna will also be releasing a concept album for upcoming Dreamworks movie Home, means fans can expect two new albums from RiRi in 2014.
Dreamworks revealed on Tuesday that RiRi would be recording a concept album based around their upcoming animated film, Home. Rihanna will also be starring in the film, alongside Jennifer Lopez, as a teenage girl named Tip.
In January 2014, it was announced that Rihanna had started planning her eighth studio album. Earlier this month Alex Da Kid confirmed himself as one of many producers working with Rihanna on material for the new album, posting this photo from his personal Twitter account. Other producers working on the album include DJ Mustard, David Guetta and Nicky Romero. An album title has yet to be revealed.
RiRi has hinted that she is expecting both albums will produce “big hits”.
