RAYE reveals how her amazing collab with Jess Glynne came about

The fantastic RAYE joined us as Hits Live Liverpool on Friday 15th November, performing her amazing hits to the sold-out crowd! The 22-year-old singer joined presenter Fleur East backstage before her performance, revealing exactly how THAT collab with the one and only Jess Glynne came about.

When Fleur asked the question, RAYE said, "Crazy. She literally texted me like, Raye I love the song. Can I do a remix? I was like, is this a joke? That doesn’t happen. That’s just God being like, I'm just going to drop you little gift there. I love it. Very grateful and I love her. She is a real girl’s girl and I have a lot of respect for her and her craft. And her pen game. She's fine, I love her."

Reminiscing to the time when she supported Jess on tour, the 'Decline' singer added, "She was my first ever support. I supported her on tour. We had little Raye in a T-shirt and jeans, because I didn’t have a stylist. My nails like this broken and broke up. But I'm going to fix them tomorrow."

It turns out Jess isn't the only celebrity fan she has. When Fleur mentioned the little fact that RAYE went out to Ibiza with David Guetta over the Summer, she said, "I did it. It was fabulous."

"Well me and him became like best friends within 2 minutes of meeting each other. He's a Scorpio. I’m a Scorpio."

RAYE has done a number of collaborations including, with Hits Live artist Jax Jones on his hit, 'You Don't Know Me', Jonas Blue's 'By Your Side', and David Guetta's 'Stay (Don't Go Away)'. The 22-year-old singer is also a successful solo artist having released a number of singles, including 'Decline' with Mr Eazi, and 'Check' with Kojo Funds.

The fantastic line-up at Hits Live Liverpool includes, RAYE along with James Arthur, John Newman, Jax Jones, Sigala, Freya Ridings, Becky Hill, Joel Corry and HRVY.
