Nathan Dawe, Joel Corry and Ella Henderson share sweet story behind their collab '0800 Heaven'
It's a summer hit!
Nathan Dawe, Joel Corry and Ella Henderson have teamed up to collaborate on a huge track in the form of '0800 Heaven', providing us with a Summer banger we can't get enough of. The trio appeared on Sam Thompson's Hits UK show where they opened up on their firm friendship with each other, as well as revealing how the track had been received in Ibiza.
Offering a sweet insight into their friendship, Ella revealed that she has been friends with Nathan and Joel for years - having previously worked with Nathan on their tracks 'Lighter' and '21 Reasons' and spent time in the studio with Joel.
She said: "I’ve known Nath for ages and we’ve done two records together before so this is our third, and Joel’s such a good mate and we’ve always wanted to work together. We’ve been in the studio and worked with one another already. It just fell together very naturally.
"Even when we did shoots and content days, it just felt like you’re hanging out with your mates for the day. It’s ace, I love it."
DJs Nathan and Joel have known each other for a long time too, with the pair both hosting residencies next door to each other in Zante years ago, something Nathan describes as a 'crazy story.'
Explaining their history, Joel said: "I’m a big fan of Ella and we’ve been in the studio many times and wanted to collab. Me and Nathan go way back! We used to both be resident DJs in Zante, Malia, Kavos back in the day.
"I used to play in a club in Zante and Nathan would be playing next door to me. We were both selling tickets to our own events. Now we’re sitting here with a record out."
Described by Joel as a 'Summer anthem', '0800 Heaven' has proved to be popular with fans, with the trio all receiving rave reactions when playing it live.
Nathan said: "It's like when you go and look for your first house and you walk in and get the feeling. You can't really explain it, but you just think, 'This is the one.'"
Joel added: "We’ve all been playing this out and it’s one of those records that’s got that instant connection on the dancefloor. It’s got that euphoric feel about it. It’s been going off in Ibiza, it’s a big, big tune. I’ve got residency in Ibiza Rocks every Wednesday, Nathan does Monday."
