Mimi Webb reveals her pre-performance rituals and talks 2022 tour

We were joined at Hits Live Liverpool by the talented Mimi Webb, on 19th November along with Ed Sheeran, Mabel, The Script, Ella Henderson, Joel Corry, Becky Hill, and Tom Grennan. Following the release of her EP 'Seven Shades of Heartbreak' in October 2021, Mimi performed several promotional shows around the UK. She also has a UK and Europe tour by the same name as her EP set for January and February 2022.

Before her Hits Live Liverpool performance, we we got chatting to her about her upcoming tour. She told us: "I am really nervous, just because I know it’s so long and I’m going to be away for a long, long time. I am nervous, but I’m so excited I think because I just did a little tour the other week and it was just so much fun. I mean when I came off the tour I was like, it’s so weird just being back at home and not actually being able to like have the screaming fans. I just felt really like, a bit lost."

The singer revealed her pre-performance rituals to get in the right mindset for going on stage: "I would get really relaxed, that’s something I do like because I don’t want to work myself up so I get really relaxed and then just before it will just kick in and I'm like, I'm going to walk on stage. But I do my warm-ups, that’s a really big part of my routine."

Mimi also revealed the ways she likes to relax before a show: "I think when I get my hair and make-up done, it just chills me out, that’s for sure. I just kind of avoid what’s happening a little bit."

She also touched on the fact that performing has always been her dream: "My mum and dad would always say, they would have dinners and I would want to be the centre of attention all the time. They were like, 'girl you need to do something with your life.'"
