"It's the best we've ever done"

Little Mix have revealed what it was like filming the music video for brand-new single ‘Confetti’.
The video is the first that the Little Mix girls Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock have done since Jesy Nelson left the band last year.
Fleur East caught up with the trio in the latest episode of ‘RendezWHO?’
The video for ‘Confetti’, the fourth single and most recent album’s title track, sees the trio transforming into men via costumes and facial prosthetics.
Perrie said, “We asked ourselves, ‘what have we done, what haven’t we done and what have we always wanted to do?”
Jade added, “We’re giving you visuals, choreography and a big surprise that we have never done before that we wanted to do for ages.”
The new release is the follow up to January 2021’s chart-topping ‘Sweet Melody’, which scored Little Mix their fifth UK Number 1 single.
Leigh-Anne said, “It was probably the funniest day of my life. It was hilarious. It’s the best video we’ve ever done.”
On the subject of prosthetics, Perrie confessed that producers had had some trouble with Jade’s fake beard.
She said, “For a wig cap, Jade’s hair wasn’t ideal. They taped Jade’s hair to her back, so when they put the bald cap on the put tattoos down her neck. It was the most fun I think we’ve had ever!”

It was announced earlier this year that the former X Factor winners have been nominated in the Best British Group category at this year’s BRIT Awards.
Previously, the girls won Best British Video for ‘Woman Like Me’ in 2019 and Best British Single for ‘Shout out to My Ex’ in 2017.
Jade said, “It definitely feels as big as the first nomination especially because it’s the group award that we have never won. It’s one that no girl band has ever won. It would definitely mean a lot to us if we were to nab that one.”
It has also been announced that hitmaker Dua Lipa, Rag’n’Bone Man, P!nk and BRIT’s rising star winner Griff will perform at the ceremony on Tuesday 11th May.
The event will be the band’s first BRIT Awards since Jesy Nelson announced she would be leaving the group in December 2020 due to mental health reasons.
