Boyband JLS joined us on the Hits Radio Breakfast Show to talk about their new album '2.0' and what it was like going on tour together again for the first time since their split in 2013.

Band members Aston Merrygold, Oritsé Williams, Marvin Humes and JB Gill just completed their 2021 'Beat Again' tour and have now released their fifth album together. The highly anticipated '2.0' came out on 3rd December and the band told us about their favourite tracks.

Oritsé said: "I love 'Glow', the reason why I love 'Glow' is because I've always wanted us to do something that had a gospel element to it, having the gospel influence is just something I've always wanted us to do so I'm really excited about."

Listen to 'Glow' by JLS:

Marvin revealed: "There's a record called 'Feel Your Love', which was a song that we did years ago and we've done so many songs that didn't make albums for different reasons. This one was a record we wrote with Lamar and it was produced by Benny Benassi, so it's the most dance-y record on the album. That's my favourite."

JB told us: "Priceless, that's one of the first the I got into, we worked with Decoy and Danny Shah and they're super young guys and it was nice just getting that cross-section of the old school, of ourselves, and the new school and how they saw us coming into this new era. So, what we created was a bit of a fusion of the two"

We also chatted to the boys about their experience touring together after so long, Marvin told us: "It went so quickly, it felt like yesterday we were in a rehearsal room and it literally flew by, and I guess that's a sign of how much we enjoyed it. There's no better feeling than performing in all the major cities around the UK and Ireland playing your records to thousands of people every night, it doesn't get any better than that."

JLS are all now fathers and they brought their kids along to watch their shows on the 'Beat Again' tour. They talked about what it was like having their children there, JB said: "They are the VIPs. We do what we do for our kids, so it was nice to share this experience with them on this tour and for all of them it's the first time they've ever experienced anything like that. It was the first time they've been to a concert and seen anyone live, let alone me."

Of course, JLS also spoke about their incredible fan base and the support they've had for their return, and Aston said: "Its the highest compliment for us, we did more tour dates this time around than we did our last tour, that speaks for itself. They are if not the most aggressive fan base around, they're the most passionate."

They also joked that they had been feeling the pressure to create new music from fans they met at meet and greets who told JLS that they owed fans an album and tour! We're certainly glad they ended up getting back together.
