He's one of the biggest artists in the UK right now, with massive hits like 'Empty Space', 'Say You Won't Let Go' and his new single 'Quite Miss Home', so we were totally hyped to have James Arthur join us at Hits Live Liverpool on Friday 15th November.

James, who admitted he still gets nervous before performing live, joined presenter Fleur East backstage, where he revealed exactly what his 'dream job' as a singer would be.

When Fleur asked James if he'd ever be interested in working on the now iconic John Lewis advert, the singer jokingly said, "Who wouldn’t it’s probably a lot of money isn’t it."

He then added, "It’s not about the money I was joking. Yeah, that would have been cool. I don’t think that… I don’t know, don’t know how it works like do people audition? I have no idea is there a man called John Lewis somewhere?"

James then revealed something like the James Bond soundtrack would be cool, saying, "Doing something like that will be cool, something iconic like that or like a soundtrack… at least it’s not too loud back there."

"I don’t know like a James Bond theme tune or something would be cool like just something a bit different. I don’t know something like that.

"I just like to… at this point of my career, I have written a love song that is going to stand the test of time. It’s one of your few songs to get a billion streams and it’s like a song that people have made part of their weddings and things like that. So I feel like I’ve proved myself in that field and like I don’t really want to do any more of that.

"I feel like I’m getting known as being this balladeer and my fans know that I do a lot more. I love to do hip hop and I do rock and I can switch some bars as well, I can do a few different things and it’s a bit frustrating sometimes when people think I’m just this like depressing love song guy."

The fantastic line-up at Hits Live Liverpool included, James Arthur, John Newman, Jax Jones, Sigala, Freya Ridings, Becky Hill, RAYE, Joel Corry and HRVY.

Hits Live will be back next year! Don't miss your chance to see more fantastic artists all in one place.
