7 weird and wonderful England football songs ahead of the big final

Picture this... It's 10pm on Sunday 11th July and Harry Kane lifts the trophy after England beat Italy in the Euro 2020 final, with the entire country chanting "IT'S COMING HOME"...
Well, after our nail-biting victory over Denmark in Wednesday night's semi final, it really could be coming home, as England play in a major final for the first time in 55 years!
Ahead of the big game, we are celebrating by looking at some of our favourite England football tunes. Over the years, we've had weird, wonderful and truly anthemic offerings to boost patriotism and cheer on our England football heroes.
Baddiel, Skinner and The Lightning Seeds - 'Three Lions'
Probably the most well-loved football chant and the one you just can’t get out of your head. It evokes memories of tournaments gone by, a nostalgic nod for England fans to Euro 96. The track was written by Frank Skinner, David Baddiel and Ian Broudie from band The Lightning Seeds.
New Order - 'World In Motion'
New Order lace up their boots! The group released football anthem ‘World In Motion’ ahead of Italia 90. You don’t have to love football to love the tune so it’s not out of place on any dance floor, even over three decades later. Former footballer John Barnes’ rap is the jewel in the crown.
Fat Les - 'Vindaloo'
The video mimics The Verve’s ‘Bittersweet Symphony’ and the simple chant of “we’re going to score one more than you” was made for belting out at the pub during half-time. The song was co-written by Blur bassist Alex James and musician and actor Guy Pratt.
Spice Girls ft England United - 'How Does It Feel (To Be On Top of the World)'
Not the first choice for many football song fans, but co-written by The Smiths’ Johnny Marr, it can’t be that bad? The tune features members of Britpop’s Echo and the Bunnymen, Ocean Colour Scene and Space alongside the Spice Girls. Surely one for Sporty Spice!
England Football Team – 'All the Way'
England United, yes that’s right, thirteen football players singing on a record. Songwriting trio Stock, Aitken and Watermen masterminded the tune whilst the likes of Gary Lineker, David Seaman and Peter Beardsley took on the vocals.
James Corden and Dizzee Rascal - 'Shout'
Before James Corden took over the American airwaves, he was the football-loving-England-team-enthusiast character Smithy. This tune was released on the back of the popularity of Gavin and Stacey. The track is a remix of Tears for Fears’ ‘Shout’ with a rap spin from Dizzee Rascal.
Ant and Dec - 'We're on the Ball'
You can’t not love Ant and Dec but you can not love this football song by Ant and Dec. The Geordie duo released ‘We’re On The Ball’ ahead of the 2002 World Cup!
England vs Italy will take place at Wembley Stadium at 8pm on Sunday 11th July.
