Fans are super excited about a possible Zayn Malik and Selena Gomez collaboration for Aladdin
We didn't know we needed this!
Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik are rumoured to be teaming up for, 'A Whole New World' originally sung by Lea Salonga and Brad Kane in the original 1992 animated film Aladdin.
Fans are super excited as the possibility of the pair joining forces after a Selena fan account posted a message on Twitter that said, 'RUMOR: Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik are reportedly to be featured on a song together for the upcoming live action Disney movie “Aladdin”.' sic
Another fan account also tweeted a similar message saying, 'It is RUMORED that Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik are featured on a duet for the upcoming Disney movie “Aladdin”. Nothing has been confirmed by either of their teams.' sic
Fans couldn't contain their excitement on social media with one saying, 'HAS GOD FINALLY ANSWERED MY PRAYERS?!?!'.
Another just responded with shocked photo.
If Selena and Zayn do have something in the works, it could add to the already highly anticipated film. Disney announced in July 2017 that they had officially picked their main cast. They tweeted the message, 'Mena Massoud announced as Aladdin, Naomi Scott as Jasmine, and Will Smith as Genie in live-action Aladdin! #D23Expo.'
The film is set to be released in May 2019, so we still have over a year left for these Zayn and Selena collaboration rumours to be true - hopefully.
If these rumours are true, they will follow in the footsteps of Ariana Grande and John Legend, who released rendition of Beauty and the Beast last year, with the live-action adaptation.
