Ellie Goulding has fuelled rumours that she is engaged to long-term boyfriend Dougie Poynter after posting an Instagram photo of her wearing a large ring on her wedding finger.
The ‘Love Me Like You Do’ singer captioned the picture: “Oh em geee laughing because I totally should not be responsible for this ring… joke I’m really responsible”.
The pair have been dating for over a year and are one of the music industry’s most loved-up couples.
When recently asked about Ellie’s claim that she was “punching above her weight” in the relationship, Dougie told MailOnline: “I mean, it’s rubbish. She’s beautiful and talented… just incredible.”
Pressed further on whether wedding bells could be the next step, he said with a smile: “Well… I don’t want to say too much. It would ruin the surprise.”
Does this mean the McBusted star has put a ring on it?
