In a post on Instagram in March 2025, Cian opened up about the album telling his fans how he approached writing the record. He began: 'When it was time to start working on CD2, I knew I had to push myself more than ever before.

'So I set out to write over 100 songs to hopefully make the best album I could. (Apparently, that’s what my heroes did?) I won’t lie—it was scary and hard to know if I was doing anything right, or if I was ever gonna write a good song. But I was searching so hard for a certain feeling. No matter how good or bad the songs were, I was chasing that feeling. At 70 songs in, I still didn’t have it. BUT I felt close…'

He previously talked about the album in a lengthy statement, released on social media in December 2024. He told his fans: 'A few months ago I realised he wasn't really being truly myself.'

He went on to explain: 'I had reached a certain version of fame and realised many people knew me as a version of me that wasn't really who I am and it became harder and harder to wear that mask. It coincided with making of my new album I have been working on, it was as if the songs wouldn't come until I accepted myself and became myself and vise versa.' (sic)

Cian continued: 'The music helped, it helped me so f--king much. So hand in hand I found the music I wanted to make and the person I wanted to be along the way and it was one of the most liberating experiences of my entire life. And I didn't even know I needed it.'

Hoodies that don't bunch up under jackets and crop deliciously, the perfect cap, t shirts that sit perfectly have the right sleeve length not too long not to short and don't stick to your ass (I have a Kim k ass) all of these details from comfort to ease of wearing and versatility I always wish I had from some of my own wardrobe!'
