Last updated 25th Nov 2019
Even some of the biggest pop stars on the planet need a little help from a friend every so often. From Lady Gaga to Beyoncé, Justin Bieber to Ed Sheeran, there have been some pretty amazing pop collaborations.
These megastars have released the biggest and in our opinion, the best, collaborations to grace the charts over the last few years.
Below we look at 15 of the best collaborations in pop.
1. Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran - 'Love Yourself'
They are two of the biggest male stars in the industry right now, so when they decided to work together on Justin's ‘Love Yourself’ it was always going to be a mega hit.
2. Beyoncé and Lady Gaga – 'Telephone'
Beyoncé featured on Lady Gaga’s ‘Telephone’ back in 2009 and the nine minute video that followed is certainly a must see.
3. Ellie Goulding and Calvin Harris – ‘I Need Your Love’
These two worked on the smash hit ‘I Need Your Love’ back in 2012. The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other in the video.
4. Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars – ‘Uptown Funk’
It spent seven whole weeks at number 1 and proved unstoppable in 2015 when it became the biggest selling single of the year. Have you mastered the dance yet?
5. Katy Perry and Snoop-Dog – ‘California Gurls’
One of the most unusual collaborations on our list, but certainly one of the best. With an amazing video and catchy tune this was the song of the summer in 2010.
6. Robin Thicke, TI and Pharrell - 'Blurred Lines'
The famous ‘Blurred Lines’ caused controversy back in 2012, but it’s certainly one of the greatest collaborations to grace the pop charts.
Warning: The below video contains some strong language.
7. Rihanna and Eminem – ‘Monster’
The pair who have worked on many hits together in the past, brought us ‘Monster’ in 2013 and it turned out to be one of their best, the video is great too.
Warning: The below video contains some strong language.
8. Ed Sheeran and Pharrell – ‘Sing’
Lovable Ed enlisted the help from superstar Pharrell on his 2014 single ‘Sing’. We still can’t get the tune out of our heads.
9. Jordan Sparks and Chris Brown – ‘No Air’
This ultimate classic duet is the perfect hit to belt out when nobody’s watching.
10. Beyoncé and Naughty Boy –‘Runnin (Lose It All)’
The instantly recognisable vocals of Beyoncé brings this tune to life. The video, which is set entirely underwater is simply stunning too.
11. Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj – ‘Bang Bang’
Music genres collided when these three music powerhouses combined to make ‘Bang Bang’, and what a song it turned out to be.
12. Olly Murs and Demi Lovato – ‘Up’
We loved it when Olly Murs teamed up with US star Demi Lovato on the 2015 smash hit ‘Up’.
13. Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z –‘ Mirrors’
The eight minute long song featured on Justin’s hit '20/20 Experience' album back in 2013 with a little help from friend Jay-Z.
14. Ed Sheeran and Rudimental – ‘Bloodstream’
Ed makes our list for the second time for his recent collaboration with drum and bass group Rudimental. ‘Bloodstream’ was a massive hit at the end of 2014.
15. Little Mix and Jason Derulo – ‘Secret Love Song’
The newest member of our collaborations. The Little Mix girls have recently teamed up with Jason Derulo for their new duet ‘Secret Love Song’ and it’s amazing.
