Becky Hill wants to add this 'official title' to her name

Becky Hill has had an incredible year so far, from receiving her first BRIT Award to releasing her HUGE track 'Run' with Galantis - so we were so excited to welcome the amazing singer to our Hits Live Liverpool line-up for 2022! Of course, we had to catch up with the singer backstage, where she revealed that she wants 'BRITs winner' officially added to her name until the next ceremony!

We caught up with Becky Hill backstage, where Hits Radio's Tom introduced the 'Heaven On My Mind' singer as "BRITs winner", to which Becky replied: "I can only be called that for a year, 'cause then it's the next BRITs!" She then added: "I think for another seven months you should only refer to me as 'BRITs winner Becky Hill'".

She then continued: "In fact, I'm trying to get a contract in place that only anyone can refer to me as 'BRITs winner Becky Hill', for the next seven months."

Tom then joked: "It's like an official title - Mr, or Mrs, or Doctor, or... BRITs winner", to which Becky agreed: "Yep, that's what we're trying to do. And I think it's a good thing to do, actually!"

Discussing her huge win at The BRITs 2022, Tom told Becky how it brought a tear to his eye watching her collect her award. Becky opened up about the win, telling us: "It was all I could think about for about two weeks, like I was like consistently swamped by the idea.

"I've never known anybody that gets told that they've been nominated for a BRIT Award and then just worry about it - like no happiness, no joy, just 'oh my God, I would love to win this', and it was a really emotional night!

"I was crying beforehand, crying during, lots of crying after!"

Becky joined our incredible line-up for 2022, which also featured amazing artists Anne-Marie, James Bay, Tom Walker, Clean Bandit, Joel Corry, Jax Jones and George Ezra.

It's fair to say that Becky Hill has been absolutely smashing 2022 so far - and it's only May! After the singer picked up her first BRIT Award back on 8th February for Best Dance Act, she gave us all an incredibly emotional acceptance speech.

Not only that, but Becky has released yet ANOTHER hit track, teaming up with electronic DJ duo Galantis on the bop 'Run', which was also co-written by the wonderful MNEK, and also a collab with David Guetta and Ella Henderson! Becky even released a stripped back version of the song, much to the delight of fans!
