Bad news Adele fans! The songstress has reportedly delayed her third studio album until later this year.

It’s over four years since Adele’s blockbuster album ‘21’ was unleashed and now it seems that Adele is happy to take her time with album no.3.

According to a Music Business Worldwide source “logically, there is now almost no chance” of the record being released in the first half of this year.

They added: “The album will be released when it’s ready – (we) hope that will be at some stage in 2015. That’s all I can tell you right now.”

Adele is rumoured to have worked with producers and songwriters including Ryan Tedder, Dianne Warren, Kid Harpoon and James Ford on the record.

Last May on the eve of her 26th Birthday, Adele posted a photo on Twitter strongly hinting that her third album is called ‘25’ and might see the light of day before the end of 2014.

She wrote: “Bye bye 25... See you again later in the year x”

Adele’s critically acclaimed 2011 album ‘21’ has sold more than 26.4million copies to date making it one of the successful records of all time.

The best selling record of both 2011 and 2012 globally, ‘21’ almost single-handedly reversed the decline of album sales in both the UK and US.

It also helped boost the bank balance of Adele’s label XL Recordings from £3million to £32million in the space of just one year.
