The best bits from Hits Live 2022

What a weekend it's been! We started Hits Live in Manchester on Friday 11th November with an incredible line-up, and continued the Hits Live party in Birmingham on Saturday night, with another amazing line-up including Blue, Craig David, Dermot Kennedy, Ella Henderson, Ellie Goulding, Lewis Capaldi, Nathan Dawe, and Sam Ryder.

With so many great names under one roof each night, we only thought it was right to make sure that we gathered all the best bits from the whole weekend for you to enjoy, including everything backstage and on stage. Hold on tight!

Blue opened Hits Live with 'All Rise'

Hits Live Birmingham was our second night of fantastic music, the night got off to a great start with Blue taking to the stage first to perform classics like 'All Rise', and 'Fly By', ending with this year's 'Haven't Found You Yet'.

Meanwhile, at the side of the stage, Sam Thompson and Sam Ryder decided to throw some shapes watching Blue perform 'All Rise'. 🙌

Blue took the Hits Live Live Wire challenge

Ella Henderson had a surprise for her fans

If Ella Henderson performing her hits such as 'Crazy What Love Can Do', 'This Is Real' and 'Ghost' wasn't enough, she brought out Cian Ducrot to sing their collab 'All For You', along with 'Let's Go Home Together', normally sung with Tom Grennan. What a performance!

We celebrated Fleurito topping the Strictly leaderboard 💃🕺

It might be Hits Live weekend, but our very own Fleur East is still in Strictly Come Dancing, so we just HAD to celebrate her and Vito Coppola topping the leaderboard on Saturday night.

Sam Ryder wowed us all with his performance of 'Space Man'

What a performance from Sam Ryder at Hits Live Birmingham, he really was out of this world, performing his Eurovision hit 'Space Man'. We also caught up with him backstage where he revealed the unusual way he dislocated his shoulder. Ouch!

Lewis Capaldi joined Sam Thompson backstage for The Biggest Hit

What's it like when one celeb recognises another? You'll have to ask Sam Thompson! Sam couldn't believe it when Lewis recognised him backstage at Hits Live and challenged him to The Biggest Hit. 💪

He also opened up to UK Chart Show presenter Sarah Jane Crawford about how he battles Imposter Syndrome.

And the bromance continued on stage

As Lewis was on stage at Hits Live his performance was so good that Sam Thompson couldn't help but whip his top off and swing it around his head as Lewis sang to him 'Forget Me'.

What an incredible night we had at Hits Live Manchester on 11th November! Our fantastic line-up - included the likes of Tom Grennan, Mimi Webb, Sigala, KSI, Craig David, Tate McRae, Olly Murs and Sam Smith. Here are the best bits from Friday night, both on stage and backstage!

It's fair to say that our line-up arrived in style, from incredible outfits to some pretty epic hairstyles...

Olly Murs' insane opening performance

What a way to start off the night! Kicking off the show, the lovely Olly Murs took to the stage to perform some of his biggest tracks, including the incredible 'Dance with Me Tonight' and his latest 'Die Of A Broken Heart'.

Olly Murs and Sam Thompson becoming BFFs

Not only did Olly boss our Live Wire and The Biggest Hit challenges, but it's safe to say that him and Sam Thompson totally hit it off - and it's the bromance we never knew we needed!

Gemma and Mike arriving backstage!

Ready to catch all of the biggest moments backstage, Gemma and Mike certainly looked good as they arrived at Hits Live Manchester!

Sharing a clip of the pair to her Instagram Story, Gemma informed us all that upon their arrival to the arena, they headed straight to catering... 😂

Gemma shared a touching post

Gemma took to Twitter to share a touching post, reflecting on attending her first ever gig at the AO Arena Manchester. Fast forward to now, and she's interviewing the artists before they take to the Hits Live stage!

She wrote: 'Backstage at the AO arena in Manchester doing our show live ahead of the Hits Live Gig! Surreal that I grew up 20 mins up the road from here, I saw my very first concert here and I’m now backstage interviewing the artists ahead of the show! Feeling very lucky 🥰🥰'.

Our celebs took on the Live Wire challenge!

As if the Live Wire isn't tricky enough, could our celebs keep their concentration up as Sam asked them questions?

Although Olly seemed to keep his cool, we couldn't help but feel the tension as he took on the Live Wire challenge...

Sigala brought the heat to the stage 🔥

As well as bringing us some of his biggest bangers, Sigala certainly brought the heat to Hits Live!

Jordan-Lee took one of the best BeReals of ALL TIME

With the infamous BeReal notification going off during the Hits Live show, Jordan-Lee took it as the perfect opportunity to snap one of the most iconic BeReal moments of all time, in front of the crowd of 15,000!

Tom Grennan even took a fan's BeReal!

Yep - Tom ACTUALLY took a lucky crowd member's BeReal!

Sam Ryder sang Happy Birthday with Sam Thompson

Is there any better way to celebrate your birthday than Eurovision superstar Sam Ryder surprising you with a birthday song?! We didn't think so. Sam, along with host Sam Thompson, sung 'Happy Birthday' to young Charlie in the crowd - along with 15,000 other crowd members!

KSI surprised us with IShowSpeed

After playing us some of his biggest bops, KSI surprised the crowd as be brought out his pal IShowSpeed!

Tom Grennan showed off his incredible vocals

We just can't get enough of Tom Grennan's incredible vocals! The singer took to the stage to bring us some of his biggest, and most recent tracks, and even teamed up with KSI to perform their track 'Not Over Yet'!

Craig David performed his biggest hits

The megastar himself, Craig David, brought the vibes to the show as he took to the stage.

Tate McRae revealed her signature dish in a tense game of Live Wire

With shakey hands and quickfire questions, Tate fell victim to the Live Wire buzz a few times! We did, however, manage to get to know the singer a little better - including finding out that her signature dish is some chicken tenders! Dinner at your place, Tate?

Sam Smith lit up the stage

The wonderful Sam Smith lit up the stage as they arrived, before beginning a beautiful performance of their song 'Stay With Me'.

Of course, what better way to round off the show than an epic performance of their hit Number 1 track 'Unholy'?!

Hits Live Birmingham will be held at Resorts World Arena in Birmingham on 24th November 2023.

Hits Live Manchester will take place at the AO Arena in Manchester on 25th November 2023.
