The irony is real!
Last updated 5th Jul 2017
You'd think playing Spider-man would help you get over your fear of spiders, but apparently it's made Tom Holland's worse.
Yes, Spider-man actually hates spider. How ironic!
Tom is making his solo film debut in Spiderman: Homecoming, but Marvel fans would have already spotted him in Captain America: Civil War last year.
Spiderman: Homecoming picks up where Captain America left off, with Peter Parker returning back to New York after his adventure with the Avengers. The film stars Robert Downey Jr, back as Tony Stark/Iron Man, as well as former Disney star Zendaya and Oscar nominee Michael Keaton.
Despite having to don a spidey suit, Tom has revealed that he actually isn't a fan of the creepy crawlies in real life.
'I hate spiders!', Tom told our entertainment team.
He's in good company though, as his Captain America: Civil War co-star Chris Evans also told us that he hates spiders, and even freak out when they told him the rumour that you swallow spiders in your sleep.
'I did know that, about spiders crawling into your mouth', Tom admitted. He added that he 'consciously' keeps his mouth closed when he goes to sleep.
'We have a shared fear. I can't wait to talk to him about it!'

Tom also chatted about his role as Spider-man in Spider-man Homecoming, and admitted that he deliberately didn't get told the ending to the film as he's bad with spoilers.
He also dished, as much as he could, about the new Avengers movie Infinity War.

Tom's co-star Zendaya also dropped in to chat with our entertainment team about her role in the movie. The former Disney star plays Michelle, a new character in the Spider-man franchise.
'She's a more extreme version of me', Zendaya revealed.
She also added that she kept forgetting that she was on the set of superhero movie, because so many of her scenes were shot in the high school.
'It felt like a funny, awkward teen comedy. And then you forget that the next day Tom's swinging around in a harness somewhere'.
