You can now stay in the iconic Home Alone house
Yes, really! 🎄
The original McCallister family home in Christmas classic film Home Alone is now available to book on Airbnb.
Following the release of Disney+ reboot of the 1990 film, Home Sweet Home Alone, the iconic Chicago property is opening its doors to fans on the 12th December for one night only.
Buzz McCallister, the elder brother of Macaulay Culkin’s Kevin from the 1990 film, will be hosting a one-night stay for up to four guests and it will be decorated in all its Christmas glory!
The Home Alone house had been the subject of many memes over the years, with many movie fans questioning how the family can afford such a luxurious house and trips to Paris over Christmas with so many children.
Buzz can be seen all grown-up as a police officer in the new film, if you look closely and you'll see 'McCallister' written on his uniform!
The Airbnb experience offers “plenty of Chicago’s finest pizza” and “a candlelit dinner of microwavable Kraft Macaroni & Cheese”, as well as a meet and greet with a tarantula and a LEGO Ideas Home Alone set to take home.
In a statement, Buzz said: “You may not remember me as particularly accommodating,” Buzz is quoted saying in a press release, “but I’ve grown up, and I’d be happy to share my family home – my pizza, even – with you this holiday season. Just try not to let my tarantula, Axl, loose this time.
“We may all be older and wiser now, but we’re never too old for holiday hijinks.
“So this year, spend the holidays not-so-home-alone at my parents’ house.”
Airbnb will be making a donation to Chicago’s La Rabida Children’s Hospital from the event.

Home Sweet Home Alone's plot revolves around a young boy named Max Mercer, played by Archie Yates. As you can probably decipher from the original films, Max was mistakingly left behind, at home, as the family head on their holibobs - this time, to Japan!
Disney announced the news that a Home Alone reboot would be heading our way back in 2019, leaving fans pretty divided. Although this film will be the sixth overall title in the Home Alone series, it is the first film in an overall reboot of the franchise.
Home Sweet Home Alone is available to stream now on Disney+.
