Home Alone is coming back to the big screen with a MAJOR twist 😱
The film will be shown alongside The Heritage Orchestra and choir
A Home Alone In Concert tour has been announced for later this year. The tour will see the original film shown on a big screen, accompanied by The Heritage Orchestra and a choir, performing the film’s sensational score by John Williams.
Taking place in December, across various cities in England, the tour will give fans a chance to see the festive favourite in HD on the big screen, with the Grammy and Oscar-nominated score bringing the film to life.
The film, despite being released back in 1990 is a festive hit with many generations, and sees Macaulay Culkin starring as eight-year-old Kevin McCallister. When Kevin accidentally gets left behind by his family when they go on a Christmas holiday, he must defend the family house against some bungling burglars.
Speaking about the announcement, Lucy Noble, Artistic Director at AEG Artistic Presents, said: "Families up and down the country sit down to watch Home Alone together every Christmas, so it’s wonderful to be able to bring such a huge part of the festive season to life with Home Alone In Concert.
"Even if you’ve seen the film plenty of times over the past 30 years, nothing compares to hearing that iconic score performed in full by the sensational Heritage Orchestra. It’s a great opportunity to bring the kids to see such a renowned Christmas film, while experiencing the magnificence of a full live orchestra. With holiday fun for the entire family, the concert really will bring that extra bit of Christmas magic this year."
