Zayn Malik lands executive producer role for new TV show
Zayn has a fancy new job title
He may be storming the charts with his solo music but it looks like Zayn Malik has a hidden talent, the singer has landed an 'executive producer' role for a new TV show.
The former One Direction singer is set to produce a television series about a boyband (we wonder where he got the inspiration from).
According to reports, Zayn has teamed up with Law & Order creator Dick Wolf to produce a scripted show about the lives of a successful boy band. Speaking about the exciting new project, Zayn said "Dick Wolf is a legend and the opportunity to work with him and NBC to create a compelling drama series is awesome."
Dick's wife Noelle added: "We were intrigued by synergistic potential that Zayn brings to the project."
Although very little details have been released, we do know the show is currently titled Boys and will be written by Jennifer Levin and Sherri Cooper Landsman.
Meanwhile Zayn is finding it difficult to cope with his 'extreme anxiety' over live performances and recently cancelled his second show in two months. The singer was due to perform at Dubai’s Autism Rocks Arena in October but pulled out after admitting he isn't 'comfortable' enough to perform live.
In an emotional statement to fans he wrote "I feel I am making progress but I have today acknowledged that I do not feel sufficiently confident to move forward with the planned show. I am truly sorry to disappoint you. I hope to see you all soon.”
