X-Factor's Anton Stephans accused of lying about childhood
A source says he's been 'telling stories' for years
The X-Factor hopeful Anton Stephens is accused of lying about being adopted.
Anton, considered by some as a favourite to win, previously opened up about his battle with cancer, drug use and having been adopted at the age of seven.
But a source close to his biological family is reported to have said the singer's been making up stories for years and wasn't adopted.
Speaking to a national newspaper, his biological cousin Clare confirmed Anton's story and the singer is said to be ‘hurt’ by the comments made against him.
He then posted a few tweets thanking people for their support.
The budding star is through to next week in the competition and was so pleased that he accidentally headbutted Simon Cowell.
