WATCH: Gemma Atkinson and Simon Rimmer dance together for the first time and it's hilarious
We weren't expecting that
Celebrity chef Simon Rimmer joined Gemma Atkinson on the Key 103 breakfast show this morning, and with all their training for Strictly Come Dancing co-hosts Matt and Mike challenged them to a dance off.
The pair have both been practising for eight hours a day, so you would have thought they might have learnt something from their professional dance partners; however after what we saw this morning we aren't so sure.
Gemma and Simon did a bit of 'limbering up' before taking to the stage, or should we say Key 103 reception, starting off in a traditional ballroom pose. However it wasn't long before the pair broke out into a bit of 'mum and dad dancing' complete with fist pumps. What a performance!
Simon later described themselves as "the world's worst boy and girl band", although we think maybe that was a bit harsh!
Simon was on the Key 103 breakfast show to talk about the new series of Strictly Come Dancing. Like Gemma, Simon is finding it hard to dance as he had never done it before. The Sunday Brunch presenter admitted that he is "terrified" about Saturday's live performance when he will be performing a Paso Doble to Blur's 'Song 2'.
Despite Simon's nerves, dance partner Karen Clifton has faith in the chef saying she was "pleasantly surprised" at his dancing, although he needs to work on his flexibility.
Yesterday Gemma spoke about how hard she had been finding some of the dance moves and the pressure had been getting to her.
"I'm so, so nervous," she admitted, "I had my first wobble yesterday in training. Literally. I nearly cried on the way home."
Gemma went on to explain how she knew what she wanted to do in her head, but she couldn't get her feet to do it. Poor Gem!
Gemma and Simon will both be competing for the first time on Saturday when they hope they remember all the dance steps.
Good luck for Saturday Gemma and Simon.
