WATCH: Emotional Justin Timberlake cries on stage at Hall of Fame induction
It all gets a bit much for him!
An emotional Justin Timberlake cried on stage during his induction to the Memphis Music Hall of Fame on Saturday night (17th October).
The annual awards honour Memphis musicians for their lifetime achievements in music and 34-year-old Justin found his induction a highly poignant moment.
Visibly fighting back the tears, Justin broke down when paying tribute to fellow legendary inductees such as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Al Green and B.B. King.
A teary Justin said: “This is the f***ing coolest thing that has ever happened to me. My favourite part about this city is we don’t apologise for who we are, and that’s who this city has taught me to be.
“I wanna thank all the great artists in this hall. I’m truly honoured to merely stand on the shoulders of all these legends I grew up listening to, and I grew up admiring, to say that I stand alongside them now.”
Regaining composure, Justin went on to praise his wife Jessica Biel for being his “rock” and being “beautiful, loving and incredibly understanding of her husband’s shortcomings.”
Tugging at the heartstrings of the crowd, Justin added” “Baby, I love you more than I could put into words and more than any song I could ever write.”
Awwwwww!
Justin was induced by his best mate Jimmy Fallon, who joked: “When they first asked me to help induct Justin into the Memphis Music Hall of Fame, three things came to mind: How much? Where am I staying? And most importantly, how do I get out of this.
“This is Justin Timberlake we’re talking about, and who better to induct him than me, Mrs. Justin Timberlake.”
“As his friend, I could tell you that this is such a big honour for Justin and it couldn’t happen to a more deserving guy. He’s given us so much amazing music over the years.
“I’m talking ‘Cry Me a River,’ ‘SexyBack,’ 'Suit & Tie,’ 'Mirrors,’ ’D*ck in a Box!’ That’s right, he was the first Justin whose d*** went viral. Sorry, Bieber.”
