Superstar singer Adele has proven just how lovely she is after sending an emotional apology to her American fans after being forced to cancel her latest show.

The 'Hello' singer was due to perform in Arizona as part of her mammoth world tour but due to being unwell the singer was forced to cancel.

Taking to Instagram, a make-up free Adele apologised saying, "I can't do my show tonight. I'm really, really sorry."

The 28-year-old went on to add that she has been suffering from flu and admitted "As you can hear, even if I did the show it wouldn't be very good."

Fans were quick to send the singer their wellwishes. One user commented on the video saying 'Hope you feel better soon @adele, look after yourself and sending lots of love'. Another wrote 'It's ok Adele, we love you!'

Adele went on to promise fans she would reschedule the show for them, saying "I'm so sorry to let you down. I know lots of people will be flying in from all over. It's the last thing I want to do but I have to look after myself because I've got so many more shows to do. I will reschedule this show, I promise you. And I will come back and I'll smash it for you."

Adele still has shows planned across North America before ending the mammoth world tour in Mexico City in November.

Get well soon Adele!
