The singer breaks down in tears.

Multi-award winner Adele picked up four awards last night, one being the Global Success Award, so what could be more fitting than to get it presented by someone who is literally out of this world - British astronaut Tim Peake.

"Good evening everybody", Tim said, dressed in a Tux-style spacesuit with a backdrop of the Union flag, "It's a huge honour to be part of this incredible night from up here on board the International Space Station.

"Congratulations to the incredible Adele, she's taken the world by storm and is a true global icon."

Visibly over-whelmed by the announcement Adele took to the stage for her acceptance speech saying, "I can't work out if I'm crying because of that video or because Tim Peake did it - my kid is going to think I'm so cool!"

As tears streamed down her face she continued, "I got really lost for a while, I didn't know if I would ever come back (to the music industry), for you all to be so kind to me is so nice."

She then goes on to thank her manager who she says is "amazing" and boyfriend for "supporting her".

The 27-year-old singer then finishes her speech saying she hoped Tim Peake wasn't hungry!
