Fans are not happy with the magazine

Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner may be two of the hottest women in the world but that hasn’t stopped critics attacking Vogue for calling the pair ‘true supermodels’.

After Kendall and Gigi came under attack earlier in the week from American actress Rebecca Romjin, British Vogue took it amongst themselves to defend the girls.

In the hard hitting interview Rebecca said “Kendall and Gigi are more famous for their social media presence that their runway experience.” She went on to add “The thing is, I have always looked to Vogue magazine to lead the way, not be a follower.

“I have been disappointed that fashion magazines have been supporting this trend of social media stars to set our style standards’

In response to the comments British Vogue then tweeted a stunning snap of the pair with the caption ‘who said Kendall and Gigi are not “true supermodels”?’

It seems the X-Men actress wasn’t alone with her views. Minutes after the tweet went out, Vogue received backlash with hundreds of people replying with the same message, ‘everyone’.

Despite the backlash, the girls are taking the fashion world by storm. 21-year-old Gigi recently appeared on the runway at Paris Fashion Week modelling for huge brands such as Balmain.

20-year-old Kendall has also walked the runway as well as appearing in various editorial fashion shoots for the likes of Chanel and Calvin Klein.

Gigi is currently gracing Vogue magazine’s May edition with her boyfriend Zayn Malik. The pair stunned fans earlier this month after releasing some steamy snaps from their first couples shoot.

A backstage video from the shoot in Naples emerged showing just how loved up the pair really are!

Neither Gigi or Kendall are yet to respond to the criticism.
