Vanessa Bauer FINALLY speaks out over Megan Barton-Hanson row
Megan wasn't happy with Vanessa earlier this year
Last updated 27th Feb 2019
It's been a dramatic few months in the land of Dancing On Ice to say the least. As well as THAT Gemma Collins fall, contestant Wes Nelson split from his girlfriend, Love Island's Megan Barton-Hanson, then she verbally attacked Wes' skating partner Vanessa Bauer on Instagram.
Now, as the final of Dancing On Ice is gearing closer, Vanessa has finally spoken out about her public spat with Megan, admitting it really upset her.
In case you've been living under a rock for the last few weeks, let us remind you of all the drama....
It all started when Megan got a little jealous of Wes and Vanessa spending so much time together in training, with the Love Island star taking to her Instagram Story to lay into the skater.
After Vanessa split from her boyfriend, Megan wrote, ''@vanessabauer_skates love that you decide to announce your breakup with your boyfriend on the night of your 1st performance with my boyfriend!'
She continued, 'You've never reached out to me once or invited me to watch you train, it pained you to introduce yourself to me last night you didn't even look me in the eye LOL hope the tactical breakup got you the headlines you wanted babe @wes.nelson'. sic
Now, weeks after, Vanessa has opened up to Now magazine, admitting she found all the drama very hard to deal with.
She said, “It’s something I’ve tried to keep away from and not comment on. But of course it affects me. I read comments and I get DMs on Instagram which are really not nice, it was really hard to deal with but it’s not my job to comment on that.”
And now that Wes and Megan have ended their romance, rumours of a potential relationship between herself and the reality star are heating up every day.
Speaking about the rumours, Vanessa said, “Every single day I’m looking for choreography ideas and how to schedule my training and all anyone is talking about is if I’m getting with Wes, which I’m not.
“I don’t know why it’s so much more of a topic than us being at the top of the leader board."
Series Two: Nathan Massey and Cara de la Hoyde
Nathan Massey and Cara de la Hoyde are the only Love Island winners to have remained together.
Despite splitting for a number of months in 2017, the couple rekindled their romance when Cara discovered she was expecting the couple's first child.

Series Three: Jamie Jewitt and Camilla Thurlow
The nation fell in love with Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend Camilla Thurlow in 2017. And, after she had her heart broken by a number of different men in the villa, model Jamie Jewitt arrived and swept Camilla off her feet.
After enjoying time together outside of the show and meeting each other's families, the couple are living happily ever after.
