The Script joined Jordan Lee this evening (4th February) to talk about their upcoming 'Sunsets & Full Moons Tour' and even revealed what their first song will be, and the tradition behind it. The Script's lead singer Danny O'Donoghue told Jordan on Hits Radio, that the first song would be 'Something Unreal'.

'Something Unreal' was the first song to be released from their 'Sunsets & Full Moons' album, and as Danny explained they have a tradition of starting their tour with the first song of the record. "It sets the tone for the whole show," Danny said, "and 'Something Unreal', I think it sums up the feeling of why all those people would be at The Script show."

During the interview, Danny also revealed how their latest single 'Run Through Walls', was written just a week after his mum passed away. The single that he has previously described at 'hyper personal', was written as a way of saying "thank you" to his friends and family who helped by giving him the time and space to grieve.

"Just because you had the funeral doesn't mean the sadness goes away," Danny continued.

"We're kind of approaching the year anniversary of my mum passing away and it's still as raw today as it was when it happened. But the song itself, like I said, is a celebration of people being there for you."

The Script released their album 'Sunsets & Full Moons' in November 2019 and performed some songs for fans in an Irish bar in Manchester on the day of its release. Jordan also caught up with them back in November where he found out the eerie parallels between their current album and their debut album.
