"It's built up now from just him Danny going down to give up his day," Mark Sheehan explained, "There are a lot of kids that are happy. He plays music for them and sings, brings a lot of joy to the kids."

Danny continued, "We've had the Lord Mayor come down, the President comes down, it's been an amazing journey."

Danny went on to reveal it's John at Temple Street hospital who arranges it all, so he along with the nurses should get the credit.

"It's great to do something on the day," Danny explained, "When my father passed away, Christmas was always a horrible day, so I just wanted to change the energy.

"To be honest I walk around with a Ready Brek glow of goodness all year, but the nurses really deserve all the credit, because they're there every day."

During the interview backstage at Hits Live, The Script also revealed they once spent a whopping £22,000 on a round of drinks! Speaking to Jordan Lee, Mark Sheehan said, "Last year when we did at the Freedom Charter we bought the biggest round of drinks in history," he explained, as his bandmate Danny added, "Yes, 8,000 drinks - do you know how much the bar bill was? £22,000. Imagine me waking up the next morning and checking my wallet, I was like, 'Oh no'."
