The actor sadly died in a freak accident
Actor Anton Yelchin was sadly killed last night in a freak accident involving his own car.
Police have confirmed the 27-year-old was killed at his home in Los Angeles when his car rolled backwards down a steep hill, pinning him against a brick post box and a security gate.
The Star Trek actor sadly died shortly after.
Now, Anton’s fellow actors and other celebrities have been paying tribute to the star on social media.
Anton played Chekov in the 2009 and 2013 Star Trek films and the latest release, Star Trek Beyond, is due for release next month with Anton playing the role for the third time.
