Before Sigala's fantastic performance at Hits Radio Live on Saturday 14th July, the amazing DJ joined us backstage to reveal where his stage name Sigala comes from. Sigala, whose real name is Bruce Fielder, revealed that the name is actually a family name.
"It was like an old family name, my great-great-grandfather...it was his last name," the DJ explained. "My mum told me about him, and his name was Amos Sigala, and I was like 'that's a cool name', so I just kind of remembered it." Watch the full interview below.
Speaking to Braydon from Hits Radio's Homerun with Wes, Sigala then went on to talk about the musical instruments he can play, admitting he'll "pick up a guitar every now and then," going on to explain how he can just play one note and then move it around on a computer!
When Sigala took to the stage at Hits Radio Live, he got the crowd going by performing some of his biggest hits, including 'Lullaby' featuring Paloma Faith. The 'Sweet Lovin'' DJ then wowed the audience by bringing on surprise special guest John Newman, for their fantastic collaboration, 'Give Me Your Love' .
