Australian singer Sia, known for hits like 'Chandelier', 'Cheap Thrills' and 'The Greatest', has opened up in a rare interview, revealing she adopted two teenage boys who were in foster care back in 2019.
Speaking to an American radio station earlier this week, the 44-year-old revealed the two teenagers were 18 at the time, and were about to age out of the foster care system.
She said, "I actually adopted two sons last year. They were 18, they're both 19-years-old now. They were ageing out of the foster care system and yeah, I love them."
The singer has now opened up even further about her sons, telling Australian radio hosts Kyle and Jackie O, that the two boys had 'extremely traumatic lives'.
She told the hosts, "These boys both had lived in about 18 homes each in their 18 years and never had any stability.
"They had extremely traumatic lives and I had the resources to adopt them and give them the resources to deal with their trauma and any therapy for their problems and the difficulty they've faced.
"It means that I can make a lot of peoples' dreams come true, which is the best feeling ever, especially now I don't drink or do drugs, so that's the new high."
Sia, real name, Sia Kate Isobelle Furler, has made in no secret in the past about her desire to adopt children.
After revealing to GQ that she's decided to be single for the rest of her life, Sia offered to adopt a 16-year-old called Dasani, after watching HBO documenary Foster.
She tweeted at the time, 'Hey Dasani from "FOSTER" on @HBO! I'd like to adopt you we're just trying to find you and get my house check done etc. But I want you to know you will have a home with me.' (sic)
