Sheridan Smith has opened up about the name she's thinking about choosing for her first baby. She's currently expecting a boy with her fiancé Jamie Horn, having announced the news back in October 2019, after pregnancy rumours began swirling following her performance on a cruise ship.

The 38-year-old, who is due in May, has spoken to the Mirror about a name she's considering for her baby - and the heartbreaking reason behind it.

Sheridan, who lost her father in December 2016 after a battle with cancer, said, "I think all the names we’ve got so far have been pretty traditional. We thought about naming him after my dad, but my dad’s called Colin, which is a bit... As much as we miss him and love him, Storm, River, Colin... you never know."
