Canadian heartthrob Shawn Mendes has shown off his brand new elephant tattoo on his Instagram page.
The 'There's Nothing Holdin Me Back' hit maker revealed his new inking during a short Instagram stories video. Shawn flashes the side of his finger on this left hand, revealing a outline of an elephant.

It seems Canadian singer Shawn has caught the tattoo bug! Shawn appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show back in 2016 and spoke about the first ever tattoo he'd had done.
He said, "It’s the woods here and a reflection on water, a sound wave connecting to the city, being Toronto. Actually, the sound wave is my parents and my sister saying ‘I love you,’ so it’s that connection between home, work, and family.”
Shawn is currently touring the world on his 'Illuminate World Tour' and surprised fans in New York earlier in the month with a VERY special guest.
Shawn brought out the one and only Ed Sheeran to the stage and the pair performed a rendition of Shawn's hit ‘Mercy’. Ed sang the second verse of the track to an ecstatic crowd.

Afterwards, Shawn, who has long idolised Ed, told the crowd “That was just as crazy for me as it was for you guys.”
Ed also shared a snap of the moment to his Instagram account.
