Rylan Clarke-Neal breaks social media silence as he thanks fans for support
He's split from his husband Dan Neal
TV host Rylan Clarke-Neal has thanked his social media followers for their love and support after announcing the breakdown of his six-year marriage to his husband Dan Neal earlier this week.
Breaking his social media silence, the former Big Brother host wrote: 'I just wanted to write a message to thank you all for the love and kindness you have show us. We are currently prioritising our mental health and looking after the ones around us we love most.
'I am working towards getting back to the jobs I love in due course. Thank you for being patient with me. X' (sic)
Although Rylan disabled the comments on his post, his celebrity friends and fans were quick to show their support by liking the statement.
The post comes just days after Rylan revealed he'd split from his husband of six years, confessing he had "made a number of mistakes" which he "deeply regrets".
Rylan and Dan first met when the former police detective appeared on Big Brother in 2013, which Rylan was hosting at the time. After a whirlwind romance, the pair got engaged and got married at a private ceremony in November 2015.
Despite keeping their relationship relatively private, the pair became the first gay couple to host This Morning in the Summer of 2016, stepping in to cover Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes.
