The super-glam Rita Ora joined us backstage at Hits Live Birmingham on Saturday 16th November, speaking to presenter Jordan Lee backstage before she wowed the crowd with her amazing set.

As well as gushing about her friendship with former One Direction singer Liam Payne, Rita also spoke about what's left on her bucket list, her plans for Christmas, and her thoughts on Instagram's new like policy.

In case you missed it, Instagram are currently rolling out a new update, making likes private for some users in order to 'remove pressure'. Admitting she thinks it is a great idea, Rita told Jordan, "I’m so happy; I think they should take off the followers too, to be honest.

"I feel like it shouldn’t be such a competitive thing anymore, I’m so down for not knowing how many likes because people should just be able to freely put things out without feeling like oh nobody likes it because you should just like it."

When Jordan asked the 'Ritual' singer if she ever overthinks about what she's posting to her Instagram page, Rita said, "I was in the beginning, but now I feel like I don’t care, but there are some people that can’t not care. So I think it’s really good that they’ve done this because it just takes away the pressure really."

The 28-year-old also spoke about her 'great' friendship with Liam Payne, after the pair worked together back in 2018 on hit single 'For You'.

She said, "Oh I love Liam, yeah, he came and supported me. We have built such a great friendship like I love him so much and it was nice because that was a moment. I have been working on clothes for such a long time and so we did the whole thing at Paris Fashion Week and it was really fun and I had my friends come out. I don’t really remember the rest of the night because I was celebrating.

"And you know what happens in Paris stays in Paris is what I have been told."

The fantastic line-up at Hits Live Birmingham included The Script, Lewis Capaldi, Rita Ora, Craig David, Sigala, Jax Jones, John Newman, Becky Hill and RAYE.
