Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody & Jared Leto's Joker electrify new Suicide Squad trailer
Watch it in all its glory here
Queen’s timeless 1975 anthem ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ has electrified the epic new trailer for upcoming anti-hero movie Suicide Squad.
Clocking in at two-and-a-half minutes, the trailer opens with the refrain of Queen singing “Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?” as we get glimpses of the characters including Will Smith as Deadshot, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jared Leto as the Joker, Jai Courtney as Boomerang and Cara Delevingne as Enchantress.
Perfectly timed with the song’s famous breakdown, all hell breaks loose in the trailer with explosions, flames, crashing subway trains, missile throwing helicopters and a smorgasbord of other carnage.
When the adrenaline-fuelled trailer reaches its climax, it ends with the closing part of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ with Freddie Mercury singing “Nothing really matters to me…”
Based on the evil DC Comics team of the same name, the David Ayer directed movie is set for release this summer.
The plot sees a covert government agency run by Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) create a task force of supervillains who are forced to run a series of perilous and madcap missions in exchange for shorter prison sentences.
