Joining hundreds of music and movie legends

Katy Perry has become the latest big name celebrity to have their handprints immortalised in concrete in Los Angeles.

Wearing a revealing dress, Katy had her palms cast in cement outside the world-famous Grauman's Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard at the same time as fashion designer Jeremy Scott.

The ceremony coincided with the release of the film Jeremy Scott: The People's Designer, which documents the Mochino Creative Director’s meteoric rise in the fashion industry.

Katy features in the Vlad Yudin directed documentary film alongside a host of big name stars including Jared Leto, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Rita Ora and Paris Hilton.

Enthusing about the ceremony afterwards, Jeremy wrote: “Still can't believe this happened tonight!!! To be the only designer in history to leave their hand prints in the iconic collection of stars.” Since actress Norma Talmadge became the first person to have their handprints cemented in the Grauman's Chinese Theatre forecourt in 1927, nearly 200 celebrities have been immortalised there.

As well as their hands, celebs have their footprints taken and they also sign their autograph in the concrete.

Back in 2007, Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint also had their wands immortalised.

Other legends who have been inducted over the past 88 years include Marilyn Monroe, George Clooney, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Steve McQueen, Gene Kelly, Jack Nicholson, Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp and Helen Mirren.
