The saying goes that girls just want date a guy like their father, and it seems that could be the case for Selena Gomez. An image has been doing the rounds, showing the singer with her new beau The Weekend, alongside a pic of her parents back in the 90s. With fans commenting how similar the two couples look.
One fan commented on the pic ‘it’s fate’, while another said ‘it’s meant to be’, another added ‘I’ve been staring at this for five minutes IM SHOOK’. Another Insta user added ‘the resemblance is uncanny’. But we’re not so convinced….
Things have been hotting up between the pair ever since they went public with their romance last month. Gomez and The Weekend, real name Abel Tesfaye, were spotted locking lips outside a restaurant in California in January. Since then they’ve been on a string of dates and even taken a little vacay in Italy together.
