One Direction respond to rumours that 'Perfect' is about Taylor Swift
'If you're looking for someone to write your break-up songs about'
One Direction have opened up about staying in contact with Zayn, life on the road and have cleared up rumours that 'Perfect' is about Harry's ex Taylor Swift.
Speaking to Jonathan Ross, Harry said he wasn't even aware there were rumours that 'Perfect' was about his ex- Taylor Swift/.
"I didn’t know that was the speculation. I’d say I think everyone writes from personal experience and I think you draw from lots of different things and songs aren’t always necessarily about what people may take them to be about, sometimes they are.”
Louis added, “The point of that song is often when we do meet people it is quite hectic and it is quite chaotic so it was kind of putting that into a song.”
Conversation moved on to their hiatus and Harry revealed he felt more comfortable touring than being at home - but he doesn't feel like he's missed out on 'normal life'.
“I don’t think we’d change anything" he said "We all feel very lucky to have had this opportunity and I think if we sat and started thinking, ‘I wish we’d played more pubs or clubs’ it’d be a silly way of looking at it.”
But being home means the boys can enjoy things they've missed - for Liam it's having his own fridge, Louis misses playing football, for Niall it's a Sunday roast while Harry's just looking forward to his own bed.
When asked about Zayn, Louis admitted he'd been closest to him in the band and although he spoke to him a couple of weeks ago, he admitted that he thinks Zayn is trying to distance himself.
Zayn recently opened up about why he left saying he was unhappy and felt like he couldn't be creative in the band. Speaking about his exit, Louis said:
"I think we all kind of noticed that he wasn’t thoroughly enjoying it and we were and you know it can be an intense job at times and I think it got a little bit too much for him and he wanted to be in a different place and that’s fair enough and he’s got his own way now so fair dos.”
