Niall Horan has just dropped his new single 'Nice To Meet Ya' so we thought we would catch up with him on Hits Radio Breakfast with Fleur East, Greg and James. 'Nice To Meet Ya' is the former One Direction singer's first new music since his released his 2017 hits 'Slow Hands' and 'Too Much to Ask', and he's been working with Greg Kurstin, who has worked with Adele, Sia and Kelly Clarkson in the past.

Asking Niall if we could expect any Adele-style music, Fleur said, "So should we expect some Adele style break-up ballads?"

To which he replied, "Oh I mean it wouldn't be an album of mine if there wasn't a ballad on it. Yeah, I've just been having a great time actually. Been having a lot of fun over the last sort of year."

"It's literally a year to the day since I finished my tour, so I've just spent the last year in the studio and just enjoying myself and writing songs that make me feel sad, make me feel happy and hopefully they do the same for everyone listening."

Fans have been calling out for the collaboration between Niall Horan and Shawn Mendes after it was confirmed in January that they would be working on a track together.

So, speaking to Fleur East, Greg and James, Niall opened up about it saying, "Yeah, I mean we'd love to. The fact that he's on tour and I'm not is part of the reason why we haven't done it.

"I think he's somewhere in Asia, Australia or something like that at the moment. Just finding the time. When you're friends with someone, when you meet up you don't particularly just wanna go to the studio for the sake of it," Niall explained.

"You kind of like go for dinner or go for a few drinks, just hang out. We don't necessarily think the minute we see each other next time, let's go to the studio. But yeah, obviously we would love to do something at some stage, even if it's just getting up on stage and singing together. But yeah, I would love to do it."

Niall continued, "Same with like Lewis Capaldi, or same with any of them but it's just finding the time, as you well know."
