Fans were left very concerned earlier this week when it emerged that Love Island 2018 star Megan Barton-Hanson had been rushed to hospital with a mystery illness.

Meg, who announced she's going to release a tell-all autobiography earlier this week, has now broken her silence on her recent drama, admitting she's 'never been so scared'.

Taking to her Instagram page, Megan wrote, 'The comeback is always STRONGER than the set back 💫 Finally starting to feel a little more human again, I’ve never been so scared! When the doctor looks at you in shock and says we need to call an ambulance right now, a day before I was due to fly to LA 😓Thank you all so much for your well wishes and support it means so much. Meg xx'. sic

Fans were quick to send their well-wishes to Megan, with one writing, 'Get well soon 💗', and another adding, 'Glad to hear you're doing better'. sic

Another then added, 'Please take care of yourself ♥️ the only one who needs to be healthy & happy is you , not someone else’s at the cost of yours ♥️💫'. sic

The 25-year-old sought treatment in the early hours of Wednesday morning after experiencing 'pain and discomfort' throughout the night, with doctors trying to establish the cause of her ailment.

Speaking to MailOnline, a source said, "Megan was rushed to hospital this morning with an allergic reaction. Doctors are still trying to establish what has caused it and she is currently undergoing tests to determine this.

"Megan went into hospital in the early hours after suffering pain and discomfort throughout the night."

Thankfully, it looks like Megan is now on the mend! ❤️
