Lucky Chip, a pop-up restaurant in London, has had to rename its Mark Wahlberg burger after receiving an email from the actor's representatives.

According to the Huffington Post the email thanked the restaurant for wanting to 'honour' Mark Wahlberg, however they believed it was competing with his company, giving the false impression he endorsed their product.

Although Mark Wahlberg is mostly known for his acting he also co-owns a burger chain in the USA with his brothers Paul and Donnie called Wahlburgers. For the last two years Wahlburgers has also been a reality TV show, now in its fifth season following chef Paul Wahlberg and the rest of the team.

The co-owner of Lucky Chip, Ben Denner told the Evening Standard, "when I saw the email I opened it and thought at first it was a joke. I was a bit surprised to be honest," he went on to say, "fair enough if we were in America trying to compete with his brand, I could understand that, but we're a small company and it’s quite fun and laidback. I don’t think we've disrespected him in any way. Personally, I would have thought he'd be happy."

The burger formerly know as the Mark Wahlberg burger (pictured below) contained a 35 day aged long-horn beef patty, braised beef short rib, American cheese, pickled coleslaw, Sriracha Kewpie mayo and spicy BBQ sauce.

The restaurant which has a number of burgers named after famous people has since renamed the 'offending' burger Dirk Diggler after Mark Wahlberg's character in Boogie Nights.

Lucky Chip has proved a very popular pop-up restaurant and will be opening a permanent 'home' in east London.
