Performer Louise Redknapp has been rushed to hospital after she suffered a nasty fall on her way to rehearsals for the new West End musical, Dolly Parton 9 to 5.
Louise, who was due to star as the leading lady in the show alongside Love Island's Amber Davies, cut her chin open and fractured her wrist after the fall, with paramedics taking her straight to hospital.
Louise has now taken to her social media accounts to share a photo of herself in a hospital bed, revealing doctors are forcing her to take time off work, meaning she won't be able to continue her role in 9 to 5.
She wrote, 'It breaks my heart to say I am having to take some time out and won't be able to continue with my role in 9-5. Due to a nasty fall I have only gone and fractured my wrist and got 10 (yes 10) stitches in my chin.'
Louise continued, 'Following my doctors orders- they have said I will be ok but as they say in the theatre 'the show must go on' and I wish the rest of the fabulous cast and amazing opening night and I will be back on that stage for 9-5 before you know it'. sic
Fans were quick to comment on Louise's post, sending their well-wishes to the former Eternal singer.
One user wrote, 'Massive hug. X', with another adding, 'Get better soon gorgeous xxx'. sic
Louise's 9 to 5 co-star and Love Island 2016 winner Amber Davies also shared a message about the incident. Amber wrote, 'Well. I leave you for 2 mins!! Wishing one of my favourite humans the most speedy recovery! I can’t wait to be beside you as we play leading ladies together ❤️ @LouiseRedknapp'. sic
Dolly Parton 9 to 5 is due to run at The Savoy Theatre from the 28th January to the 31st August 2019.
We wish Louise a speedy recovery! ❤️
