Lottie Moss opens up about Celebs Go Dating and Adam Collard romance
She appeared on the Mother Half podcast
Lottie Moss has opened up about the emotional experience of appearing on the E4 show Celebs Go Dating, as well as her romance with her co-star, Love Island's Adam Collard.
Appearing alongside her mum Inger on Emily Blackwell's Mother Half podcast, the 25-year-old model discussed her experience of the modelling industry, in addition to her new career in television. Lottie has been friends with Made In Chelsea star Emily for over eight years, with the pair even previously living together.
Explaining her decision to leave the modelling world behind, Lottie said: "I was struggling, my mental health was affected - I didn't realise how manipulated I was being by the industry and when I realised it made me so depressed, I just sunk further and further down."
Having left that industry, Lottie is now keen to develop her career in TV, following her 'fun' appearance on Celebs Go Dating, which has made her a 'different person'. However, before deciding to look for love with the help of the show's experts, Lottie was approached by another, rather different, show.
She explained: "Made In Chelsea wouldn't have been the right choice for me but Celebs Go Dating has been the perfect fit. I'm so glad I chose it because I got approached by two different TV shows. I'm not sure if I can say this, but the other was Celebrity SAS. I watched one episode after they called and I thought, better not, can't handle it!
"I'm a different person to when I started on Celebs Go Dating. When I first went on, I thought, 'TV show, bit of money, go on a few dates, snog a few guys - easiest money I ever made.' But, actually doing this process - and I've spoken to the other celebrities about this - we all actually properly cried. Not fake tears, genuinely cried.
"And I had my fun, went on a few dates, kissed a few frogs. The whole line between reality TV and real life becomes very blurred, so things are heightened and sometimes you confuse feelings for sexual tension, or you fancy someone but there really isn't anything there."
On the show, Lottie was seen to grow close to Adam Collard, with her previously opening up about the 'special connection' they had. However, in a recent episode of Celebs Go Dating, Adam found himself in a love triangle when he went on a blind date with his ex, Autumn.
Speaking about how she feels about Adam, Lottie said: "Obviously Adam and I had a little thing on the show. I liked him when I was on the show, but coming out of it now, I think it was more just sort of a sexual tension thing.
"He's a very good looking guy! I'm a sucker for being delusional about men sometimes, but everything happens for a reason and I had a good time on the show."
