Little Mix celebrate 8 years together with an exciting message for their fans

It's been an unbelievable eight years for Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jesy Nelson, better known as Little Mix. They started out as solo contestants on The X Factor back in 2011, and after being put together as Rhythmix, later changing their name to Little Mix, they've stormed the charts every year since winning the show.

Now, the four girls have celebrated their eighth anniversary by posting a photo to their socials, showing the girls' dolls, next to champagne flutes and a cake with the number eight on it saying, '8 years of fun, frolics and fabulous memories! Here is to the next 80! We can’t thank all you guys enough for giving Little Mix life! We are now gonna quaff this champagne and demolish this cake! See you on tour and in the charts very soon! 👍🥂🍾🎁🎈🎂 #8YearsOfLittleMix'.

Since they posted their photo yesterday (19th August), their tweet has been liked more than 24K times, with fans posting photos of the group and saying, 'YOU GIRLS ARE FAVE GIRLS EVER I LOVE YOU SO SO MUCH #8YearsOfLittleMix', and 'We are so proud of you girls! See you in the charts very soon 👀👀'.

The girls have achieved a huge amount in the last eight years, including, five Top 5 albums, four Number 1 singles and two BRIT Awards.

After being put into a group by Kelly Rowland on The X Factor in 2011, the Little Mix girls rocked denim and trainers as they posed at the Judges Houses' stage of the competition.

Little Mix's biggest hit this year was 'Bounce Back' which samples the 1989 hit single by Soul II Soul, 'Back to Life'. The retro music video had a massive eight million views in just three days. The 'Bounce Back' music video shows them having a 90s party, periodically taking on dolls' poses.

Little Mix recently opened up to us about the possibility of a collaboration with Ariana Grande. They were asked if a collaboration with the 'No Tears Left To Cry' singer was too much to ask and in response, Leigh-Anne shouted, "NO! It's not too much to ask! We'll make it happen," with Perrie chipping in, 'That would be SO good!
