Liam Payne reveals what advice he'd give his younger self

He may only be 23-years-old but in his life so far Liam Payne has had MAJOR success! Not only was he part of one of the biggest boy bands around, Liam's solo career has taken off and he's just recently became a dad for the first time with his girlfriend Cheryl Tweedy.
To celebrate the release of his new single 'Bedroom Floor', Liam called The Hits' Olivia Jones for a chat and he told us what advice he'd give to his younger self.
Liam first auditioned for The X Factor in 2008 but was sadly eliminated by Simon at the Judges' Houses stage. Coming back stronger, Liam returned in 2010 and was later put into boyband One Direction alongside Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan.
Speaking to Olivia, Liam said he would say to himself, "Lighten up and go and steal that judge Cheryl out of that chair."
Talking about his now girlfriend Cheryl, Liam added, "I should have done it there and then shouldn't I."

So despite not making Cheryl his girlfriend way back then, things turned out just nice for Liam as he's now happily loved up with the former X Factor judge.
The happy couple welcomed their first child into the world in March this year, with Liam describing it as 'his favourite memory so far'.
Sharing the most adorable photo of himself holding baby Bear, Liam wrote, 'My close friends and family know there are very few times when I'm left speechless... wow!
'I'm incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it's a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory I have so far. I'm completely in awe of his incredible mother and how she has been the whole way through this, she's really made my dreams come true. We haven't named him yet but he's already capturing hearts including mine. I feel very blessed'.
After the success of his first two solo singles 'Strip That Down' and 'Get Low', Liam has worked with American singer Charlie Puth on his latest track 'Bedroom Floor'.
Speaking about his new found bromance with Charlie, Liam told Olivia, "He's amazing, he's the best kind of weird you can be. Me and him are quite similar in that way. He's a musical boss."

After Liam's One Direction band mates Harry Styles and Niall Horan released albums, fans of the 23-year-old have been eagerly awaiting his, and now Liam has revealed when they can expect it.
Speaking on The Hits, Liam said his album is "out in January" and he's also hoping to go on tour where he's keen to sing some One Direction songs by putting his own spin on them.
He added, "I've got to pick a way of doing some, I've been thinking about this for a while, I'm trying to pick my favourite tracks that I want to do."
