Tiger King's Joe Exotic 'loses former zoo land' to Carole Baskin
The pair were enemies on the popular Netflix show
Joe Exotic, otherwise known as the Tiger King, has lost his former zoo land to his on-screen rival Carole Baskin. After a court ruling, Carole, who owns an animal sanctuary in Florida, now has control of the land once known as the GW Exotic Animal Memorial Park.
As the avid viewers of the popular show will know, the Netflix star transferred the park to his former business partner Jeff Lowe several years ago. The action, however, has now been ruled fraudulent by a judge and as a result, the Tiger king has unfortunately lost the land to none other than his on-screen nemesis Carole Baskin.
Due to Joe being ordered to pay Carole for copyright infringement, the animal rights activist has been granted control of the land in lieu of payment of $1m (ÂŁ800,000). Releasing a statement on the Tiger Park Instagram page, Jeff Lowe doesn't seem to shocked, claiming, 'We anticipated Carole Baskin gaining title to the former park that once belonged to Joe Exotic many years ago.'
The news may, however, come as a shock so Joe, who is currently serving 22 years behind bars for animal abuse, and a for plotting to have Carole Baskin killed.
