Jennifer Lawrence is The World’s Highest-Paid Actress for the second year in a row

She is also the youngest member of the list.

Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence tops the Forbes list of World’s Highest-Paid Actresses this year, a list she also topped last year.

The 26-year-old actress rose to fame playing the part of Mystique in X-Men: First Class before taking the role of Katniss Everdeen in the Hunger Games film series which has propelled her to superstardom.

Not only has Jennifer received countless award nominations for her roles, she is also the youngest actress to receive four Academy Award nominations.

The Joy actress racked up a massive $46 million over the past 12 months, $13 million more than second placed Melissa McCarthy, who pocketed $33 million.

However Ghostbusters actress Melissa McCarthy has gained the most dollars over the past year - a huge 43.5% more than last year, mainly due to her lead role in the reboot of the 1980s classic.

There were two 'returnees' to the list, including Charlize Theron and Amy Adams, whilst Bollywood's Deepika Padukone is the only newcomer to the list.
